KALBE RUSHAID: THE MAN BEHIND A MISSION

A delegation of Imams led by Dr. Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi, Chief All India Imams Organisation, calling on the Union Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh, in New Delhi on July 12, 2016.

Kalbe Rushaid is a name, a personality, a mission, a religious personality, a social and cultural revolutionist, a political dynamism, a reformer, a thinker, a personification of humanity and liberty. In the year 1976 when the Muslim world was celebrating the birth anniversaries of Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Isa (A.S) on 25th Zeeqad, at the same time Syed Mushtaq Ahmad Rizvi, the eldest son of Syed Abdullah Rizvi of Mauza Madripali, Gopalpur, District Siwan in the State of Bihar, India, was blessed with a son who he named as Syed Kalbe Rushaid Rizvi.

Before his birth his father had already emigrated from Bihar and had chosen Mahuva, District Bhavnagar, and Gujarat as his second home. His father admitted him to Sultanul Madaris, Lucknow at very tender age and placed his son in an environment where he would learn Islamic theology and jurisprudence.
